The weather is warming up and the grills are coming out. Everyone knows a summer BBQ isn’t complete without two things: booze and Kool-Aid. During economically straining times such as these, the cost of mixers for your booze can start to become a burden–especially when you can use that money towards hard liquor to forget your shitty job and rising debt. Have no fear, the summer recipe for the poor man’s drink is here: Kool-Aid Libre
In Spanish, the classic Rum + Coke is called a Cuba Libre. The poor-man’s twist to this classic cocktail is to replace the Coke with the more wallet-friendly Kool-Aid — hence the name “Kool-Aid Libre”.
