The Liver Bashers drinking duo put a crew together and headed over to Alphabet City to check out the East Village Tavern. It’s a small spot on the corner of  Avenue C and 10th Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The beer list isn’t overwhelming, but they do feature a good selection of Craft Beers, a few good bottles and the usual suspects. EVT has a sports bar/pub feel offering a few Tv’s and the pool table. We got there a bit early for a Friday night so it wasn’t too crowded, wasn’t like you had to wait to use the pisser. The bartender told us that Saturday night was the night to stop through. On Saturday and Sundays from 11a.m. to 5 p.m the brunch menu has a $17 deal that gets you an entree and unlimited drinks from the menu for 1 hour, not too shabby!  Happy hour is from 12 -7 pm daily. Click here for their Tap List.
